J Holmes - HONEYHORSE

Tokyo based, American singer/songwriter J HOLMES has been on a prolific climb over
the past few years. Alongside his writing and playing with his alternative punk band
FVRMN, J has also been releasing singles under his own name. These songs showcase J's signature unconventional, yet catchy sense of musical melody and an uncanny ability to turn heads and raise eyebrows with a tender slice of dark humour. Drawing from classic influences such as Wilco, Scott Walker, The Smiths, Whiskeytown, Richard Hawley, The ‘Mats, and Bob Mould, J HOLMES has always put the craft of songwriting front and center and has slowly been building a warehouse of finely tuned gems.

HONEYHORSE is the latest gathering of such gems and these are bound to be amongst his most heralded musical contributions yet. Ten new songs shaded with an evening sundown hue of subtle, yet striking tones cradled and nurtured with instrumentation drawing from a lush and nuanced atmosphere.
